Find your perfect match
Looking for Creator Network creators to recommend to your audience? Here's how to find creators your audience will want to subscribe to.
View creator matches for you
On the Recommendations page, you'll see a Matches for you section listing:
Creators who are recommending you
Creators who are recommended by others in your network
Creators whose content is similar to yours
Click these creators to view their in-network profiles and learn more about them.
If you've decided to recommend them, click the Recommend button. You'll find this button under their profile in the Matches for you section or on their in-network profile.
NOTE: If the creator is already recommending you, their in-network profile will display a Recommend back button instead of a Recommend one.
If you aren't interested in recommending a creator shown in the Matches for you section, click the Not interested button under their profile to hide them.
Check who's already recommending you
Below the Recommendations page's Matches for you section, click the Incoming tab if it isn't already selected. You'll see a list of all the creators who have recommended you (even if they no longer do).
Creators may have decided to recommend you because your content is a good fit for their audience. If so, your audience may also enjoy their content, making them worth recommending back.
Click these creators to view their in-network profiles and learn more about them.
To recommend back a creator currently recommending you, hover over their "Recommending" status in the report, and then click the Recommend back button that appears.
Find creators you can recommend
Use the Discover page to find more creators to recommend—including those who aren't recommending you yet.
Navigate to this page by going to Recommendations under the top navigation's Grow tab. Then, click the Discover tab.
Here's how to shortlist creators on the Discover page, keeping your creator niche and audience's interests in mind.
Use the search bar and filters
Use the search bar to search for creators by name, topic, or keyword.
For example, you can search for:
A creator's name, e.g., "nathan barry"
Creators who have the "guitar" keyword in their Creator Profile
You can also use the filters to the right to filter for creators by creator type, topic, language, and location.
NOTE: Creators set their creator type and topics from their Recommendations settings. Meanwhile, we detect their language and location automatically.
Check out suggested creators
Below the search bar are categories of creators we suggest recommending if their content is a good fit for your audience:
Featured creators
Creators with content similar to yours
Shared connections
Creators that you subscribe to
Creators that subscribe to you
Creators recommending you
If a creator catches your interest, click them to view their in-network profile.
Creators you already recommend won't appear in any suggested creator category (except the Featured creators category).
NOTE: The suggested creator categories won't appear if there are no creators that meet the categories' criteria.
To hide suggested creators in any of these categories (except the Featured creators category), hover over them, and then click the Not interested button that appears.
Featured creators
Featured creators are established creators with large email followings. You may recognize them.
Creators with content similar to yours
The Creators with content similar to yours category displays creators whose content is similar to yours, as determined by the contents of their last 10 Broadcasts.
Shared connections
The Shared connections category displays creators being recommended by the creators you recommend. We suggest recommending them because their content may be similar to the content of the creators you recommend—and possibly to yours, too, making them a good fit for your audience.
Let's say you're a photographer who has recommended a fellow photographer named Amy. Amy is recommending another photographer named Billy.
Unless you already recommend Billy, he will appear in the Shared connections category. And since Billy is a photographer like you, your audience may be keen to subscribe to his content if you recommend him to them.
Creators that you subscribe to
The Creators that you subscribe to category displays creators whose email lists you've subscribed to.
We use the email address you use to log in to your Kit account to check whether you're subscribed to a creator's email list.
Creators that subscribe to you
The Creators that subscribe to you category displays creators who have subscribed to your email list.
We use the email address the creator uses to log in to their Kit account to check whether they're subscribed to your email list.
Creators recommending you
The Creators recommending you category displays creators who are recommending you (but you aren't recommending back).
View all other creators
Below the suggested creator categories (if available) is the Discover creators recommended for you section.
This section contains creators who don't fall within our suggested creator categories. But check them out—they may be worth recommending nevertheless.
View the creator's in-network profile
When you click a creator on the Recommendations or Discover pages, their in-network profile will appear. This is a profile that shows information like the creator's bio, description, the creators they recommend, the creators recommending them, and their featured post.
You can also click View All to view all their public posts.
By looking at the creator's in-network profile, you can learn:
What the creator does, from their byline and bio
How popular they are, based on the number of creators recommending them
The post they're proudest of (if they've set their featured post to a specific post)
Their latest public post (if they've set their featured post to show their latest public post)
Use this information to decide whether to recommend the creator.
For example, if the creator is in the same niche as you and writes great posts, they may be worth recommending.
Check the creator's status
Creators on the Discover page may have a colored circle around their photo. This indicates they have a special status, which you can learn by hovering your cursor over their photo.
Here's what these statuses mean.
NOTE: If the circle is multi-colored, this means the creator has multiple statuses. View these statuses by hovering your cursor over their photo.
Consistent creator
The Consistent creator status displays as an orange circle and indicates that the creator has sent at least one email per month for the past three months.
Creators with the Consistent creator status are actively emailing their audience and may therefore be worth recommending.
Growing fast
The Growing fast status displays as a blue circle and indicates that the creator's subscriber growth rate is in the top 10% of their size group in the last 30 days.
Creators with the Growing fast status are actively growing their audience and may therefore be worth recommending.
Recommend your chosen creators
If you've decided to recommend a certain creator, hit the Recommend button (or the Recommend back button if they're currently recommending you). They'll be added to your Recommendations list instantly.
You can have up to 100 active Recommendations. But to maintain a positive experience for your audience, we'll show up to five Recommendations at once.
Manage the number of Recommendations you show your audience, and their order, from the Customize page.
