Common Visual Automation scenarios, packaged into templates you can copy and customize
You don't have to build every Visual Automation from scratch. The template library holds pre-built automations for the work you're most likely to want to set up:
Welcoming new subscribers
Launching a new product
Running a paid newsletter
Growing your audience
Copy a template to your account, adjust the steps to fit your business, and you have a working automation without building it piece by piece.
These templates make more sense once you know the basics of building a Visual Automation. For a refresher, read our main guide to Visual Automations.
Browse the template library
Go to Visual Automations under the Automate tab in the navigation, then select Templates.
You'll see the full library:
Each template is named for its use case, like "Run a paid newsletter" or "Welcome subscribers to your podcast." The tags on each template show you which Kit features it uses.
Our "Run a paid newsletter" template, for example, uses Products, Sequences, and Landing Pages:
NOTE: We designed each template with a certain use case in mind, but you're welcome to use them for other purposes.
Templates tagged Creator Pro, like our "Grow your audience with SparkLoop" template, contain Creator Pro plan features.
NOTE: You can use our "Grow your audience with SparkLoop" template even if you aren't on the Creator Pro plan, as long as you've subscribed to SparkLoop separately.
Filter the library to find what you need
Use the filter to narrow the library by category:
Favorites: the templates you've saved as favorites
Launch: launch a newsletter or a product
Grow: grow your audience on social media and other channels
Connect: engage your audience, like welcoming new subscribers
Promote: publicize your products to earn more from your list
New: templates recently added to the library
Save a template as a favorite
When a template catches your eye, click the heart button to save it. Everything you save shows up under the Favorites filter.
Preview a template before you use it
Click any template's Preview button to see how it's built.
In our "Run an evergreen newsletter" template, for example, subscribers enter the automation through a Tag or a Landing Page, then receive an evergreen email Sequence.
Use a template
Once you've chosen a template, click its Use this template button. You'll get a blank copy in your account, including its Form and Tag entry points, Actions, Conditions, and every other step.
NOTE: If you've already created the Forms, Landing Pages, Tags, or Sequences you want to use, you might not want to click Use this template.
Doing that adds blank Forms, Landing Pages, Tags, and Sequences to your account, which you'll then need to delete.
Instead, note the template's structure and recreate it manually using the Forms, Landing Pages, and other pieces you already have. Our guide to creating Visual Automations from scratch shows you how.
Customize and activate your automation
Click each step in your new automation to edit it.
When you click an entry point where subscribers sign up through a Landing Page, for example, you can customize that page in our Landing Page builder.
Work through every step that needs customizing, adding or removing steps as you go.
When your automation looks right, click the Active toggle at the top right of the builder to activate it.
