Keeping track of your email marketing effectiveness is important to your creator business's success.
To do this, you can enable email notifications for key email marketing activity within your Kit account.
Click your name at the top right of the navigation > Settings. Then, click Notifications in the left sidebar.
Select the account notifications you want to enable or disable, and we'll save your preferences automatically:
Account Summary: Get a weekly or monthly summary of your Kit account activity for the week/month. The account summary email includes:
The number of subscribers who joined your list
The number of emails you've sent in the past week/month (including your open rate over the last 90 days)
The number of sales you've made (including the total revenue and average revenue)
Subscribes: A new subscriber has joined your list
Purchases: Someone has purchased your Kit product
We send Purchases notifications only when someone buys a product you sell through Kit. We won't send email notifications when someone sends a tip or buys a product you've hosted on a third-party platform.
Cancellations: A customer has canceled their subscription to your Kit product
Recommendations: A creator has started recommending you on the Creator Network
Requests to connect: A creator on the Creator Network is requesting your email address
Sponsorship offers: You've received a new Newsletter Sponsorship offer from a brand
This notification setting won't appear if you aren't part of the Newsletter Sponsorships program.
Upcoming sponsorships: Get a reminder 24 hours before a scheduled Newsletter Sponsorship placement goes out, giving you time to schedule a Broadcast containing the placement if you haven't already.
This notification setting won't appear if you aren't part of the Newsletter Sponsorships program.
To disable all account notifications at once, click Turn off all notifications.
Notifications are managed at the user level. This means that any team member added to your Kit account, whether they are admins or editors, can customize their notification settings for your Kit account by logging in to it with their personal credentials.
FAQs
How often will notifications be sent?
To avoid sending you too many notifications, email notifications for new subscribers, purchases, cancellations, and Recommendations will be sent every hour.
For example, if you make a sale at 4:15 p.m., and then two more sales at 4:33 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., you'll receive one notification for the three sales at 5 pm.
When will the account summary email be sent?
You’ll receive the weekly account summary email every Friday.
If you choose to receive a monthly account summary email, you'll receive your summary for the previous month on the first day of the next month.
Will I get notified of subscribers who join via API?
Yes! If you’re using another tool (e.g., Elementor or Sumo) to send subscribers to Kit, those subscribers will be included in your account notifications.
Can I configure notifications for subscriber imports?
No, you won't be able to configure subscriber import notifications. Unlike account notifications, subscriber import notifications are a special kind of alert that cannot be turned off.
Only the main account owner will receive subscriber import notifications. Team members will not receive it.
I didn't get a notification about one of my new subscribers. What's going on?
You will be notified of new subscribers hourly, but only if those subscribers confirmed their subscription within that time period.
This is because we query our database for confirmed subscribers within the hour. If the subscriber confirms later, we will fail to send a notification for them.
I wasn't notified about a new purchase. What's the problem?
Currently, we send notifications only for purchases of your products on Kit (excluding tips). If the purchase was related to a subscription or connected with Kit via a third-party app, the notification will not be sent.
