Replacing third-party forms with Kit Forms in WordPress

How to use the Kit WordPress plugin to automatically replace third-party forms with Kit Forms.

Automatically replace your third-party forms with Kit's

If you're migrating from another email platform to Kit, you might need to replace that platform's forms on your WordPress site with their new Kit equivalents.

One way of doing this is to manually look for and replace your third-party forms' shortcodes and blocks on your posts and pages.

Alternatively, you can use the Kit WordPress plugin to automatically replace form shortcodes and blocks from these providers in your post and page content:

  • ActiveCampaign

  • AWeber

  • Campaign Monitor

  • MailPoet

  • Mailchimp for WordPress (MC4WP)

  • Newsletter Plugin

Here's how.

From the Kit plugin setup wizard

The plugin's setup wizard will launch and guide you through the setup process. At the "Form Importer" setup stage, you'll have the option to replace third-party forms with Kit Forms.

Click Finish Setup when you're done.

NOTE: If you've already installed and activated the Kit Plugin, you can re-run the Setup Wizard anytime by going to Plugins in the WordPress left sidebar > Setup Wizard under the Kit plugin.

From the Kit plugin settings

The setup wizard will take you through all the steps for setting up the Kit plugin, including connecting your Kit account to it.

So, if you've already installed and activated the Kit plugin and prefer not to run the setup wizard again, you can replace your third-party forms from the Kit plugin settings directly.

Navigate to Settings > Kit from your WordPress left sidebar, followed by Tools.

Scroll to the Migrate Configuration settings, and you'll be able to replace your third-party forms with Kit Forms.

Click Migrate when you're done.
