Since we host your Kit Landing Pages, you don't need a website to embed your Landing Page on—the page can exist on its own.
That said, you do have the option to customize your Landing Page's domain and/or URL if you want to.
Read on to learn where to find your Landing Page's link, how it'll look by default, and its customization options.
Where to find your Landing Page link
Open your Landing Page in the builder, and then click the Share button at the top right. Your Landing Page's URL will appear.
This URL will use your kit.com domain or a custom domain you provide (more on this in the next section).
Click the:
Copy icon to the right to copy your Landing Page's URL for sharing anywhere
External link icon to the right to open your Landing Page in a new tab
X, Facebook, and LinkedIn buttons to share your Landing Page as a post on the respective platform. You can customize the post's content before publishing it.
Lastly, you can use our WordPress plugin to have your Landing Page take over a WordPress page.
Landing Page link customization options
Here are several options for customizing your Landing Page link, from least technical to most technical:
1. Use your kit.com domain, but customize what comes after the slash
By default, what comes after the slash for a new Landing Page will be a random combination of letters and numbers, but you can customize this to something more human-readable.
For example, instead of your Landing Page's URL being your-account-domain.kit.com/a3916708cf, you can change it to your-account-domain.kit.com/newsletter-signup.
To do this, click the gear icon at the top right of the Landing Page builder:
Your Landing Page's Domain name settings will appear.
Leave the Custom Domain dropdown as your
kit.comdomainUse the Page URL to set the text that should come after the slash, and then click Add
To delete a custom URL, click the × icon next to it under the URLs for this landing page section.
Changes you make to your Landing Page’s custom URLs will be saved automatically.
2. Use a custom (sub)domain
This allows you to use your custom website domain (e.g., mywebsite.com/landing-page) or a subdomain on it (e.g., pages.mywebsite.com/landing-page), rather than your account domain (e.g., your-account-domain.kit.com/landing-page) as the base for your Landing Page's URL.
We have separate tutorials on this, depending on the website platform you use:
If you've used your domain for a WordPress website, you can use our WordPress plugin to have your Landing Page URL use your WordPress website's domain.
If you use any other website platform (or if your domain doesn't have a website associated with it), you'll need to edit your domain's DNS settings to use it for your Landing Page. This is the most technically advanced option, and we have a tutorial on it here. (You can go this route even if you use WordPress; it's just not required since you can use the WordPress plugin instead.)
