With the Kit Pinterest app, you can interact with your Pinterest content in two ways:
Embed rich content blocks that include pin metadata, descriptions, and calls to action directly in the email editor, or
Access your pins as standalone images through the media gallery, without needing to download and upload files.
Getting started with Pinterest
To use the Kit Pinterest app, you need to:
Have an active Pinterest account
Have a paid Kit account
How to install the Pinterest app
Log in to your Kit account
Click Automate > Apps in the top navigation
Find the Pinterest app and click Install

How to use the Pinterest app
Adding Pinterest content blocks to emails
In the email editor, type
/pinterest
or/add pin
and select Add Pin to trigger the Pinterest content blockSelect your content: Choose from your available pins in the sidebar
Customize the display:
Choose pin size (regular or large)
Select orientation (vertical or horizontal)
Toggle Pinterest account snippet visibility
Toggle title and description visibility
Toggle "Save this pin" button on/off
Preview and send: Review how your Pinterest content looks before sending
Using Pinterest content in the media gallery
Go to the media gallery in Kit, or type
/pinterest
to open the Pinterest section of the media gallerySelect the Pinterest tab to see all your pins as standalone images
Select any pin image to embed it directly into your email
Pin Groups
You can create pin groups to showcase multiple pieces of content:
Type
/pinterest
or/add pin group
and select Add Pin Group when adding a Pinterest content blockChoose 2-3 pins to display together
Select horizontal or vertical layout
Customize sizing and display options for the group
Troubleshooting
I can't see my Pinterest content
Check your connection: Go to Kit App Store > Installed Apps > Pinterest, and verify the app is installed
Refresh your content: If you've recently created or saved new pins, they may take a few minutes to sync with Kit
Pinterest account: Ensure you're logged in and connected to the correct Pinterest account that has the content you want to use

A: The Pinterest app is included with the Creator plan and higher.

A: No, you can currently use Pinterest content blocks in email Broadcasts only.
Q: Will my Pinterest content update automatically?
A: The app pulls current metadata when you add content blocks. If you update a pin on Pinterest, you may need to refresh or re-add the content block in Kit. Alternatively, you can manually edit the content block’s description field.
