As of October 15, 2026, how far back you can see email stats (opens, clicks, sends, bounces, unsubscribes, and complaints) in Kit depends on when each Broadcast or Sequence email was sent.
This change lets us move to a faster, more modern way to store and serve your email data, so we can build better reporting for you going forward.
How long email stats stay visible:
Emails sent in the last 3 years: Fully visible in your Broadcasts and Email sequences dashboards, with live stats available in email charts.
Emails sent 3–5 years ago: Email stats will stop updating, reflecting their stats as of each email's three-year mark. They will stay available in your Broadcasts list, CSV exports, the Kit API, and the Kit MCP, but will no longer be available in any email reporting charts.
Emails sent more than 5 years ago: You'll only see Broadcast's email stats in your Broadcasts lists. Email stats will no longer be available for export.
What this change doesn't impact:
Your Broadcast content is never deleted. This policy on affects how far back the performance stats behind your emails stay updated and accessible.
You can still view and duplicate any Broadcast, no matter how old. Broadcasts can always be found in your Broadcasts list and duplicated for reuse.
Subscriber data is unaffected. Subscriber records, tags, custom fields, segments, and all other contact data are not part of this change.
Integrations keep working. Third-party apps that use the Kit API will continue to work, with access to up to 5 years of email stats.
How to export your email stats
Broadcasts: Go to your Broadcasts dashboard and click Export. The CSV includes your Broadcasts' performance stats plus a direct link back to each Broadcast's content. The download link is emailed to your Kit account's email address and also appears in your in-app notifications.
Email Sequences: Go to the Sequence Deliverability tab on your Subscribers page and export from there.
Exports include up to the last 5 years of data.

I need stats from more than 5 years ago
While we can't promise we'll be able to retrieve email stats from 5+ years ago, contact our support team and we'll do our best to retrieve it for you.
Will the API return older data?
API endpoints for email stats return data for the last 5 years. Requests for data outside that range will return a clear error message.
Does this affect my subscribers, tags, or automations?
No. This policy applies only to email performance stats. Subscriber records, tags, custom fields, automations, and your email content are all unaffected.
Why did Kit make this change?
Retaining a rolling window of email stats is standard practice for analytics tools, and this new storage approach makes Kit faster and lets our team build better reporting features for you.
