Everything you need to install apps and integrations on Kit

Updated over a week ago

Kit is designed to work well with all your favorite third-party tools and extend its functionality with additional apps you install.

What are Apps?

Apps are external applications that you can install to extend the functionality of what you do with Kit.

For example, you can install an app like KitBoard to get a kanban-style view of your sales pipeline—it'll automatically pull in subscribers with Tags that you set in Kit, so you know who to reach out to next.

Apps are built by a community of developers. Learn more about building apps for Kit here.

How to install an app

To install an app, click the Install button for the app of your choice.

It'll then trigger the relevant relevant authentication flow. There are two different ones:

Authorization

There will be a confirmation screen for you to grant access to the third-party app you'd like to install. Once you click Grant access to XX, your app will be available for use immediately.

Redirect to third-party application

You'll be redirected to the third-party application's authentication flow, where you'll log in and grant access to the third party to access your data. Once you've granted access, your app will be available for use immediately.

How to uninstall an app

To uninstall an app, go to Settings > Advanced, and scroll to Connected Partner Apps.

Next to the app that you'd like to uninstall, click Revoke Access.

There will be an additional modal to confirm that you'd like to uninstall the app. Once you click Revoke Access again, you'll have uninstalled an app.

How to troubleshoot an app

If you need support for any of the apps that you have installed, please refer to their listed support article and reach out to their support.

We do not provide support for third-party apps.

Want to help us grow our App store? Please share what type of functionality you'd like the app to have and what problems it'd solve for you. We have a community of developers who'll be able to help turn your ideas into reality.

What are integrations?

Integrations allow you to sync and pass data between Kit and a third-party tool that you use.

For example, you can integrate with Podia, which will allow any new online course customers who aren't on your list to be added and tagged in Kit. Subscriber information is automatically synced and shared for you to use.
