With Kit Ads, you can add Newsletter Sponsorships to your emails to earn extra revenue.
Newsletter Sponsorships contain copy and images pre-approved by their advertisers and are scheduled to run on certain dates. Insert them into your emails, customize their look, and send your emails at the scheduled dates to serve the sponsored content to your subscribers.
1. Receive a Newsletter Sponsorship offer
If we secure a Newsletter Sponsorship that's a good fit for you, we'll email you a Newsletter Sponsorship offer.
The email will contain details on the Newsletter Sponsorship's:
Payout: The amount you'll be paid for each unique verified ad click
Placements available: The maximum number of Newsletter Sponsorships you can run under this campaign
Campaign window: The date (in Mountain Time) by which you must run the Newsletter Sponsorship(s) to get paid under this campaign
To accept the offer, click the email's View Offer Details button.
2. Review your offer
You'll be directed to an offer review screen in your Kit account.
Based on the data provided, you may decide to decline the offer, or accept and schedule the Newsletter Sponsorship.
2a. Declining an offer
If you decide to decline this specific offer, select the reason why and provide an optional description to explain more. Then, click Decline offer.
To decline all future Newsletter Sponsorship offers from the brand, check the Hide future offers from this brand box before you click Decline offer.
2b. Accepting an offer
When you hit accept and schedule, you'll be taken to a Schedule page, where you may select which dates to schedule the Newsletter Sponsorship.
Choose your preferred date and hit Schedule.
These dates should be dates on which you have emails going out to your subscribers. Otherwise, your subscribers won't see your Newsletter Sponsorships.
Repeat for as many dates as you would like. The number of dates you can select depends on the number of available placements.
Once you've selected your dates, hit Done.
3. Add an Ad Slot to your email
Open the email draft in which you want to serve the Newsletter Sponsorship.
Hover your cursor over the left side of the part of the email where you want to add an ad. Click the + icon that appears to display the content block menu, and then select Ad.
An Ad Slot will be added to your email.
4. Optional: Preview and customize the ad
You can optionally preview the Newsletter Sponsorship and customize it before sending your email.
To do this, toggle the Preview option in the right sidebar to Native.
Placeholder ad copy will appear in the Ad Slot.
If you'd like, you can use the Choose a campaign dropdown menu to preview an actual Newsletter Sponsorship from the campaign.
Then, while previewing either the placeholder or actual ad copy, click the ad's components—like its header, description, and button—to customize their look in the right sidebar.
5. Schedule your email
Schedule your email to send on a date that matches your ad's scheduled date in Mountain Time. Otherwise, your email may display a different Newsletter Sponsorship or not show any Newsletter Sponsorships at all.
Let's say your Newsletter Sponsorship's scheduled date is April 5, 2026. If you send your email on April 5, 2026, in your time zone, the email will display:
If it's still April 4 in Mountain Time: The Newsletter Sponsorship whose scheduled date is April 4, 2026, in Mountain Time, if you've accepted an offer for such a Newsletter Sponsorship. Otherwise, no Newsletter Sponsorships will show.
If it's already April 5 in Mountain Time: The Newsletter Sponsorship whose scheduled date is April 5, 2026
If your email goes out on a day for which you don't have a Newsletter Sponsorship scheduled, the Ad Slot:
Will serve a programmatic ad to your subscribers if you've enabled programmatic ads
Will not show any ads to your subscribers if you've disabled programmatic ads
NOTE: We recommend adding Ad Slots to your emails and enabling programmatic ads even if you don't have active Newsletter Sponsorship offers. This way, your emails will serve programmatic ads to your subscribers and earn you ad revenue nevertheless.
6. Get paid
As you serve Newsletter Sponsorships to your subscribers, you'll receive ad payouts and receipts within the 15th business day of the following month.
You can review your payout amount and payment status in your campaigns reporting page here.
7. Revisit your offers and schedule
If you have an active offer, you may review it on your Offers page. You will also see the number of placements—out of the maximum—that you have scheduled for this offer.
On the Schedule page, you may review each unique sponsorship that you have scheduled.

Click the three horizontal dots to the right to change your dates or unschedule the ad if you need to.
How to disable Newsletter Sponsorships
If you change your mind about serving Newsletter Sponsorships, you can disable them in a few ways.
NOTE: When you disable Newsletter Sponsorships, any Newsletter Sponsorships in emails you've already sent will still be visible, and you'll be able to earn ad revenue from them.
Turn off Newsletter Sponsorships entirely
Turn off Newsletter Sponsorships entirely to stop receiving Newsletter Sponsorship offers and sponsorship offer notifications. All Newsletter Sponsorships you previously accepted—including any that have been scheduled to send—will also be canceled.
To turn off Newsletter Sponsorships, go to Ads under Earn in the navigation. Click the Settings button, followed by Turn off ads.
Click Turn off ads in the window that appears to confirm your decision.
To re-enable Newsletter Sponsorships, go to the Ads page and click the Opt in to sponsorships button.
NOTE: If you want to turn off only sponsorship offer notifications instead of opting out of Newsletter Sponsorships entirely, click the Settings button on the Ads page, followed by Manage in account settings.
You'll be redirected to your accounts notifications page, where you can opt out of sponsorship offer notifications.
Alternatively, click the unsubscribe link in any sponsorship offer email to turn off future sponsorship offer notifications.
Change your email's send date
Change your email's send date to a date (in Mountain Time) on which you don't have any Newsletter Sponsorships scheduled.
This way, your email's Ad Slots won't show any Newsletter Sponsorships.
Remove your email's Ad Slot
When you remove your email draft's Ad Slot, you prevent all ads (whether they're Newsletter Sponsorships or programmatic ads) from appearing in the email when it's sent.
To remove an Ad Slot, hover over it, and then click the trash can icon on the right to delete it.
