Everything you need to know about booking Kit Studios

Kit Studios are professional recording spaces available free to all Kit customers on Creator or Creator Pro plans. Whether you're recording a podcast, filming a YouTube video, shooting a course, or hosting a multi-person interview, the studios are fully set up when you arrive: cameras, lighting, and microphones included. The only thing you need to bring is an SSD external hard drive to record your content on.

Who can access Kit Studios

Kit Studios are free for all Kit customers on a Creator or Creator Pro plan. Log in to your Kit account to access booking.

How to book

Head to kit.com/studios/bookings to view available times and reserve your session. You can book up to three months in advance.

For same-week bookings within a 72-hour window, reach out to the studio team directly via the studio email for your location.

Booking policies

  • Session length: Sessions are a maximum of three hours.

  • Advance booking: Up to three months in advance. Requests within a 72-hour window go through the studio email directly.

  • Cancellations and rescheduling: You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your session at no charge. To reschedule, either email the individual studio manager or cancel your booking and re-book.

  • Guests and co-hosts: Yes, studios vary in capacity from solo spaces to rooms built for groups. Check each studio's details when booking.

  • Equipment: All studios are professionally sound-treated and fully set up when you arrive. Bring an SSD external hard drive to record your content on.

Kit Studios Boise is where it all started. Located in downtown Boise, this location offers four fully equipped recording rooms that accommodate everything from a solo session to a four-person collaboration. Kit Creator and Creator Pro members get free access to all spaces.

Bright, comfortable, unhurried. Room for up to four speakers with zero pretense — ideal for the kind of conversation people actually want to listen to.

Out of the Woods

Dark tones, modern lines, teleprompter built in. The right room when you need to deliver something solo and deliver it well — podcasts, courses, or the video call you don't want to fumble.

Karma

Six to eight seats and a TV. Good for the meetings worth having: planning sessions, client presentations, or anything that benefits from everyone being in the same room.

  • Parking: There's street parking along the building and surrounding streets. Several parking garages are also available downtown, with two within a 5–10 minute walk.

Kit Studios Chicago sits in the heart of the city and gives creators access to five professionally equipped rooms, from solo recording spaces to multi-person setups. All rooms include professional cameras, lighting, and microphones. Four of the five also include teleprompters.

Getting there

  • Parking: Free parking on N. North Branch St. in front of the building. Paid parking is also available on Halsted and North Branch. Please don't park in the building lot — that's reserved parking only.

  • Transit: The CTA Blue Line is about a 20-minute walk. Several bus stops are also within walking distance.

New York City, NY

Kit Studios NYC is located in Manhattan's Flatiron District and offers six professionally equipped rooms for podcast recording, video production, interviews, and course creation. Each space features a museum gallery hanging system so you can swap in your own artwork and make the room entirely yours.

Classic NYC exposed brick and vintage teak office furniture give this two-person room its distinct character. The Mad Men reference just fits.

  • Parking: Street parking in the Chelsea and Flatiron District is limited. A nearby parking garage or public transit is recommended.

  • Transit: The closest subway stops are 28th St (1/2/3 lines) and 23rd St (C/E lines).
