How to use the Eventbrite app
App settings
After authenticating with Eventbrite, you’ll land in the App settings flow. This is where you’ll choose which Eventbrite organization to connect, configure your sync preferences, set up custom field mapping, and review Tag settings.
Step 1: Choose your Eventbrite organization
First, select which Eventbrite organization you want to associate with this Kit connection.
You can connect only one organization per installation/connection.
Click Save and continue to proceed.
Step 2: Set up your sync preferences
The Sync preferences section lets you control what data syncs between Eventbrite and Kit.
Active subscribers: Sync new Eventbrite ticket buyers into Kit as subscribers. This creates or updates subscriber profiles in Kit as new ticket purchases occur.
Purchases: Sync order and ticket purchase details to enrich subscriber profiles with purchase history and revenue data.
Historical data: Optionally import existing Eventbrite data from before you installed the app (a one-time import). If you don’t enable this option, only data created after installation will be synced.
NOTE: You can return to the App settings anytime after installation to edit these preferences.
Step 3: Map your custom fields
In the Custom fields section, you can map selected Eventbrite fields to Kit subscriber custom fields.
Step 4: Configure your Tags
The Tags section shows the Tags that Kit will apply to subscribers synced from Eventbrite.
Mandatory Tag created by Kit:
Eventbrite: Applied to all ticket buyers who have been synced from your connected Eventbrite organization
Optional tags (if enabled):
Eventbrite_event:{name}: Tag per event, where
{name}is the event name the attendee registered forEventbrite_ticket:{type}: Tag per ticket type, where
{type}changes based on the ticket tier nameEventbrite_checked_in: Applied when an attendee has checked in at the event
Eventbrite_refunded: Applied when an order has been refunded
Eventbrite purchase data in Kit
If you’ve enabled purchase syncing in the App settings, Eventbrite orders will appear in the Purchases tab of the subscriber’s profile in Kit.
You can use this purchase data, along with Tags and custom fields, for segmentation and automation conditions in your Broadcasts or Visual Automations.
