Track your subscriber growth and engagement levels in Kit

From the Grow tab in the Kit navigation, click Subscribers to check out your Subscribers charts.

Here are the different charts and their features:

List

When you go to the Subscribers page, you'll land on the List chart by default.

At the top, you'll see these reports:

  • Total subscribers: The total number of confirmed subscribers in your email list

  • New subscribers (today): The number of people who joined your email list today

  • Emails sent (last 90d): The total number of emails, including Broadcasts and Sequences, you've sent in the last 90 days

  • Opened (last 90d): The percentage of recipients who opened an email in the last 90 days

  • Clicked (last 90d): The percentage of recipients who clicked an email link in the last 90 days

To the left, you'll see a list of confirmed subscribers. Click the Confirmed Subscribers dropdown menu to view subscribers who have other statuses.

You can use the checkboxes next to your subscribers to select and take Bulk Actions with them.

To the right of the page, you can:

New

The New chart shows you your net subscriber growth (including canceled subscribers).

At the top, you'll see the same Total subscribers, New subscribers (today), Emails sent (last 90d), Opened (last 90d), and Clicked (last 90d) reports that the List chart displays.

Total

The Total chart shows your total subscriber growth over time.

At the top, you'll see the same Total subscribers, New subscribers (today), Emails sent (last 90d), Opened (last 90d), and Clicked (last 90d) reports that the List chart displays.

The Total chart itself shows only subscribers who are currently active or cancelled. It doesn't include subscribers who are bounced, complained, inactive, or blocked.

This means the chart reflects how subscribers look today, not how they looked in the past. For example, your numbers might change over time when:

  • A subscriber who was active in April complained in May. In this case, they'll be removed from April's count.

  • You import subscribers, or someone confirms their double opt-in. These events will update your historical numbers.

As a result, you might see your past subscriber counts shift when your subscribers' statuses change.

NOTE: Deleted subscribers are not included in the charts. Their historical stats are deleted along with them.

Sources

The Sources chart shows the traffic sources that subscribers used to discover and join your email list.

At the top, you'll see the same Total subscribers, New subscribers (today), Emails sent (last 90d), Opened (last 90d), and Clicked (last 90d) reports that the List chart displays.

The chart for the Referrers attribution parameter is shown by default. Click the down caret icon (⌄) next to the Sources tab to have the chart show data for other attribution data.

Learn more about attribution data in our other guide.

Engagement

NOTE: The Engagement chart is available to Creator Pro plan users.

The Engagement chart shows your subscriber scoring data.

At the top, you'll see these reports:

  • Total subscribers: The total number of confirmed subscribers in your email list

  • Avg. stars: Your subscribers' average engagement scores, based on how often they open and click your emails

  • Customers: The number and percentage of subscribers who have purchased from you through your connected commerce tools

  • Never engaged: The number and percentage of subscribers who have never opened or clicked your emails

  • Avg. revenue per subscriber: The average amount of revenue earned per subscriber, based on all tracked purchases

The Engagement chart displays data in distribution format by default. Click the down caret icon (⌄) next to the Engagement tab to have the chart show data in timeline format.

Deliverability

NOTE: The Deliverability chart is available to Creator Pro plan users.

The Deliverability chart shows advanced deliverability reports for your Broadcasts and Sequences.

At the top, you'll see the same Total subscribers, New subscribers (today), Emails sent (last 90d), Opened (last 90d), and Clicked (last 90d) reports that the List chart displays.

The Deliverability chart displays your Broadcasts' deliverability data by default. Click the down caret icon (⌄) next to the Deliverability tab to have the chart show your Sequences' deliverability data.

Purchases

The Purchases chart shows the sales you’ve made through Kit, including your gross and net revenue figures.

Reporting is available only in USD.

At the top, you'll see these reports:

  • Total revenue: The total amount and number of purchases earned from all completed purchases in the selected date range

  • Total refunded: The total amount refunded and number of refunds processed in the selected date range

  • Today's revenue: The total amount earned from purchases, and the number of purchases, made today

Changing the data displayed

Date range

For the New, Total, Sources, Deliverability, Purchases, and Unsubscribes charts, click the date range at the upper left-hand corner to change your data's date range.

Use the hamburger icon next to the date range to select preset time periods, or click the dates themselves to set custom start and end dates.

Time interval

Our charts show daily numbers by default. But for the New, Total, Sources, and Purchases charts, you can click the Days setting to switch the time interval of your data between Days, Weeks, and Months.

Filtering the subscribers displayed

For all charts except List, Sources, Purchases, and Unsubscribes, you can click the filter icon to view the figures for only specific subscriber segments.

This filter is the same interface used for Broadcasts and Segments.

The exception is the filter for the Deliverability chart, which has an extra setting for filtering subscribers by email service provider:

That’s all there is to it.

Apart from our Subscribers charts, we also have a separate Landing Page & Form Signups chart for tracking Landing Page and Form signups.
